When you enter the URL in your search engine address bar, the page usually loads on your device. But sometimes, something goes wrong and you get an error. In some cases, these errors occur due to your own fault. But most of the time it’s the site’s fault. These errors may be due to various reasons. There are different kinds of errors that occur which can be irritating to the users. In this article, we are going to discuss Most Common HTTP Error Codes errors. These are the most common error codes on the website/webpage. They are as follows:

1. 500 Error

500 error code also refers to the Internal Server Error. It is the general error message the web server encounters in the form of an internal error. Sometimes there are many requests to the browser that it can’t handle. But the browser is unable to give responses to all the requests. In such types of case, 500 error occurs.

One of the Most Common HTTP Error Codes is error 500 or internal server error. Fixing the Internal Server Error is a bit difficult for the users as there are more than one reasons that it has occurred. As a result, it is one of the most common error codes on websites.

2. 501 Error

When you request a page to the browser but it does not support the requested page then a 501 error occurs. And hence also called “Not Implemented Error”.

3. 502 Error

502 error codes refer to “Bad Gateway Error”. If one server receives an invalid response from another server then a bad gateway error occurs. The server takes a long time to submit a request than expected. You can solve this error by refreshing the search engine. You can also clear the cache to limit the occurrence of this error.

4. 503 Error

503 error code also refers to as Service Unavailable error. It gives the hint that the webserver is unable to process the request by the users. When 503 occurs, it means that the server is undergoing maintenance or the server has the requests in an uncontrolled way.

5. 400 Error

400 error code also refers to a Bad Request error. This is an error that the web server sends to the user when the applications you are using are used in the wrong way. The application includes such as your browsers or the search engines you are using. This type of error also occurs when the request is corrupt in a way during the request.

6. 401 Error

This type of error happens when users search an unauthorized website and try to access the web page. This results in a failed login attempt. Therefore, a 401 error is also called an Unauthorized error. You can solve this issue by cache and cookies of the web browser. It can be possible that the login URL has changed or you have typed the incorrect URL. So, keep an eye on that one.

7. 403 error

This error code is somehow similar to the 401 error. But in this case, no login opportunity is available to the user because you are trying to get access to the forbidden directory of the website. That means if there is an attempt to access the forbidden directory 403 forbidden message pop up on your computer screen. The user does not have access to the site because of the incorrect password.

404 error code refers to Page Not Found Error. Most of the users are familiar with this type of error. This type of error occurs when you try to search the web page that is not available on the webserver. This occurs mostly happen because of a typing mistake, wrong link address, or the requested page has been transferred to a different place or moved permanently. It also occurs if the page has been deleted which the visitors are trying to search.

9. 301 Error: Most Common HTTP Error for Permanent Redirect

A 3o1 error occurs when the web page has been permanently moved from one URL to another URL. So, it is also referred to as “Moved Permanently Error”. However, it is not an error itself. In this type of error, the website does not get its original search engine ranking, traffic, and authority.

10. 302 Error: Most Common HTTP Error for Temporary Redirect

A 302 type of error is used for a temporary redirect which means the requested page has been moved temporarily. This gives information to the search engines that the page has been moved temporarily and will be back to the original URL. The website gains its original ranking on the browser, traffic value, and authority.
